Indie Current

Indie Current has been a passion project of mine for many years. What started out as a way to share my music discoveries with friends, quickly blossomed into a full platform with a thriving community of followers. Part blog, part YouTube channel, part music curation platform, Indie Current is a place where new and long-time indie music listeners can come together to read, listen and discuss the latest independent music out there today. From rock to pop, hip-hop to jazz, folk to country, and everything in between, Indie Current covers music from every corner of the music world with the goal of opening up listeners to new and exciting sounds. As the Founder & President, I wore many hats over the course of the company's 10 year history. From writing and editing articles to overseeing a team of writers, building a social media strategy to running the various social media channels, designing the logo to designing all of the assets for the website and YouTube channel, and finally curating music for all of our followers to enjoy, I took great joy in all of the work I put into Indie Current over the years and learned so much along the way both personally and professionally. Most of all, I got to meet so many likeminded individuals from around the world, as well as some of my favourite artists along the way. While I no longer actively maintain the website or YouTube channel, I have kept both active to allow new followers to re-discover all of the amazing music we shared over the years.
